Willy's 1944 Jeep

1944 Willy’s Jeep M1501354. 6Volts. Mileage: 24761 Purchased in 2001 after a lengthy meticulous restoration,. History on this Willy’s jeep starts with a Letter from the Museum of Army Transport acknowledging wartime service carrying the census number M1501354 with the vehicle being struck off from service in 1954 destined to be sent to West Africa. An engine rebuild was decided in 2012-13, as a result every part that needed replacing was replaced, but keeping as much of the history important parts as possible. After rebuild the Jeep has been used back and forth to France on at least 4 occasions, in fact overall sense ownership this Willy’s Jeep has made that journey over 10 times. Included is Jeep Siren, shovels, gas can, spare wheel and side canvas doors front and rear.
