1942 Ford GPW

1942 Ford GPW.
Not factory restored but good condition, recently painted and v clean. Many new parts including brakes (silicone fluid), shocks, voltage regulator (NOS), starter motor, 6v battery, 5 x NDT tyres, canvas seats and webbing, summer top, fuel pump, oil pump, gauges (fuel original) and all wiring. Original rebuilt Carter Carb from Universal Jeep Supplies. Chassis, hood, windshield and gpw body (with new rear floor) are original. Fenders and front grill are original ford script. Engine is from a Feb 42 slat grill Willys and was overhauled several ago. Not used for over a year and never properly road tested so cannot guarantee performance over a long distance. I took it for a 10 mile drive the other day and after 40 minutes running the idling oil pressure had dropped from over 30 to just under 10. The temp never rose above 180 though. No indicators fitted and all lights work as original. Foot brakes work fairly well and I have topped up the Master Cylinder but recommend adjustment including hand brake. New clutch disc but release bearing could do with replacing. Starts easily on handle (supplied). However with 6 volt it does struggle to turn over quickly even with new starter motor and battery. Currently road registered and has free road tax.
£14,000 ono.
