1943 Dodge WC54 Ambulance

We have owned the truck for two years now and in that time have brought the mechanics and running of the truck back up to A1 condition.
Thousands of pounds have been spent and lots of new parts including a set of new free wheeling hubs on the front axle which allows the front drive train to remain stationary whilst in 2-wheel drive.
This all makes the truck a pleasure to drive. The ambulance has all the correct brackets and stretchers, the original heater, roof fan, siren etc.
All the electrics have recently been rewired and the truck is still on the original 6 volt system. We have just returned from a camping trip abroad in Ypres and Normandy, visiting various bunkers, Omaha/Utah beaches, museums etc.
The truck covered over 800 trouble-free miles which reflects its excellent mechanical condition.
The price includes the tent which fits snugly over the Dodge and allows the rear doors to open into the tent. The tent remains standing whilst you are out in the Dodge.
Some of the new parts fitted: Valves Cylinder Head gasket Thermostat Fuel pump Carburettor (professionally rebuilt) Exhaust manifold Hand brake drum All 6 propshaft oil seals Crankshaft pulley Tank sender unit Various filters and service items The brakes have been overhauled.
£18,500.
