We are a registered charity and one of the fastest growing military vehicle associations in the UK, with well over 250 members. Essex HMVA has a diverse membership whose collections cover all time periods, with vehicles ranging from push bikes, motorcycles, Jeeps, Land Rovers and lorries through to artillery and tanks. We also welcome non-vehicle owning members who may take part in living history events, military collectors or military historians. The International Military Vehicle Collectors Club is an Italian organization dedicated to the military vehicles preservation, collection and restoration.
The IMVCC was born in 1980 as the Italian Chapter of the american MVPA, currently has more than 600 affiliated members and 3.000 registered military vehicles
The IMVCC publishes every 3 months the magazine "Army Motors Italia", on a yearly base holds the Italian Convention and gives all the possible support to the other Italian events. The MVT is the world's largest military vehicle group, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of all types of ex-military vehicles, no matter what age, size or nationality. Our members exhibit their vehicles, often with associated equipment, take part in living history events and attend commemorations. They also visit schools and support fund-raising events for ex-forces personnel. We are a large group who collect and restore vehicles from the Vietnam period. Among our vehicles we have Two replica Guntrucks which are the only ones in the UK and we believe that one of them is the only known type in the world, this makes us very unique in the military vehicle world. We also re-enact many different units from the Vietnam War. The group has won many awards at shows and we are renowned for our quality displays, Rolling Thunder has also helped with the making of TV programmes as well as putting on displays for the US Marines and US Air Force. |
