Temple at War first captured everyone's attention in 2015, and it’s been exciting to watch it grow! The event is dedicated to showcasing the best military vehicles and reenactments in Essex, set in a charming showground with historic buildings that give visitors a true sense of history. We’d love for you to join us in 2026 for this family-friendly celebration. Over 140 vehicle and reenactment groups. Allied, Axis WW2 battles. Large indoor and outdoor trader and collectors markets. Delicious food outlets. BBMF flypast, and Special TV Celebrity guest Vikki Michelle from ‘Allo, Allo!’. Military personnel and veterans are offered free entry with valid ID. Echoes Of History White House Farm, The Living Memorial, Rettendon, Chelmsford CM3 8DL. The premier East Anglia Military and History event is back with an exciting new venue. A multi period and national living history and military event showing military history through the ages and of course historic military vehicles that are so much a special feature of our show. In addition, we have collectors’ stalls, arena events, a Marquee with bar and live entertainment through the day and for the exhibitors in the evening. Plus, a food court, overnight camping for exhibitors and much more.

1940’s Weekender ‘1940s Weekender’ returns for our 4th annual event at ex-40s RAF station Sleap Airfield, nr Shrewsbury SY4 3HE. 40’s nostalgia for all the family to enjoy. Aviation Museum, Warbird ‘Fly-In’s, Event Arena, Big Marquee with Seating, Model Aircraft, Trade Stalls, Food Stalls, Living History & Re-Enactment Groups, Military / Period Vehicles, Battle Skirmish (Allies vs Germans). Lots of 40’s Artists, Kids Fun Area inc. Punch & Judy. Pre-booked Camping available from Friday. Its back Sat night only, our sell out 1940s Big Band Dance (separate tickets apply).
