For sale here is a rare ‘Bristol Bofors’ Mk12, recently received in an exchange deal with a national army museum.
In 1948, the Bristol Aircraft Company took an order to convert WW2 40mm Bofors guns to have motorised traverse and elevation, driven by electric motors, running off 12v batteries powered by an on-board auxiliary generator. 2,100 of the ''Bristol Bofors entered military service around 1952 and continued to be used by many Armies until the mid 60’s.
