This is a WW2 pattern trailer chassis made by BWP in Koln. It is either wartime or just postwar.
The tubular swan necked trailer chassis is the same as the SD ah 25/2 chassis. It appears to be the same as the Angerfahrgestall A1 trailers.
The body has been identified as being made for the Sswedish civil defence force.
HMVF identified a similar trailer as being wartime or post war as that trailer had a name plate for the manufacturer of Fr Kotz & Sohne, Weil, Bez, Koln and this address changed in 1949.
Sadly the manufacturers plate is missing on my trailer.
The wheel rims are an early vw/kubelwagen type that was not made after 1952.
It is currently olive green but the chassis appears to patches if field grey underneath.
The body needs complete restoration but the chassis is very sound. Its located near Saffron Walden in Essex.
