The FH-70, 155mm Gun Howitzer, first placed in service in the 1980's, was a joint development of the UK, Germany, and Italy.
The United States was originally participating in the FH-70 program.
However, the US dropped out and instead developed the towed M198 Howitzer.
While the FH-70 is no longer in service with Great Britain or Germany, it is in service with Italy, Japan, and several other countries.
They were furnished to Ukraine by Italy and Estonia in late 2022 and early 2023 as aid.
This FH-70 displays well and would be a showpiece if restored.
