French/American M1897 75mm

Here we have a super neat French M1897 75mm field gun with French and American markings.
This piece is located in NW Louisiana, USA and is ready for someone that can really spend some time and love on her.
The gun has been at a capable machinist and he works on it when he can (not his top priority) and its coming along nicely.
The wheels are off and need to go to the Amish (the metal is fine); the breech mechanism is free and turns, the carriage needs to be blasted and a few minor things addressed. Its a heavy sucker and would be a real prize to any military collector.

This particular piece has all the markings and stamps present and has an additional stamp that shows it was also in American Service.
Might consider a cash and trade on another smaller artillery piece. I think I am very fair at a price....you will easily be able to double that should you get it restored and firing blanks. Note: The pics shown are not current. A ton of work has been done since these were taken. The wheels, Chassis and barrel mech are not together.
